Preparations for the dredging of Area 5 (main walkway berths/ Budget berths) are currently underway with dredging scheduled to commence on the 2nd March 2020.
Restrictions will be in place with immediate effect for vessels berthed between North side of B & South side of C leg for approximately 2-3 weeks due to the positioning of a floating discharge pipe. The pipe in the main channel is partially submerged and weighted down to reduce restriction (See attached plan).
Marina access and egress in the main channel should be made between the yellow spherical buoy and the rock revetment keeping as close as possible to the buoy. Safe access and egress is generally 1-2 hours either side of high water and vessels are advised to engage their engine into neutral when passing over the pipe.
No access or egress will be permitted without prior contact with the marina office. Berth holders are requested to maintain communication via VHF Channel 80 always and to contact the marina before entering or exiting the marina.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the marina office directly on 01492 593000 or email: [email protected]
