We have compiled a really useful and concise guide to the new rules for cruising post Brexit, now that the UK is no longer in the EU. It covers:
- Leaving and re-entering UK waters
- Visiting EU countries
- Northern Ireland
- Red Diesel
- Qualifications and whether they are valid in the EU
We are delighted to announce the release of AnchorBuddy – an app for mobile devices to assist when calculating the depth to anchor and scope to use.
It has been developed by two Club members – Stephen Gorst and Austin Goudge – and is completely free to use. It doesn’t require an Internet connection once it’s downloaded and is available for both iOS and Android (phone and tablet).
The Club even gets a mention in the credits!
Download it from the following links:
While you are enjoying your sailing, or just dreaming about the sea, please take a few photos and jot down a few words as a caption about your experiences for inclusion in the Club Yearbook.

David is the author of the popular Irish Sea Pilot, a guide that many of us use when cruising the area.
The evening of the 21st May was a great success, with a very full club (standing room only) to listen and watch David give a very interesting and well received talk about his sailing experiences, as well as advice and tips on sailing in the Irish Sea and the wider area.
Based on this success, we would like to continue to invite interesting speakers so if you have any ideas or would like to recommend someone, please get in touch at [email protected].
